We have listed a small selection of our cellos here, but we always hold a wider range in our shop for all student levels with most priced between £700 - £6000. I also stock a wide selection of bows, from student to master.

Peter Crowther, No. 27. 2022
A beautiful sounding cello, labelled from the workshop of Peter Crowther, dated 2022. Carefully selected medium grain wood, with flamed back and ribs which brings out the appearance of the wood.
It is a superb instrument with an exceptional tone quality throughout the whole register.

Walter Mason, 1891
A lovely English cello by Walter Mason and dated 1891. The back of the cello is in two pieces of English sycamore with matching wood to the ribs. The neck and scroll are of English maple and the front is of medium to broad grained Scottish spruce. The colour is of a rich golden amber hue, typical of this maker. This would make an ideal cello for chamber music.

The Stentor Student I, full size Cello is an ideal first cello for students. This is an instrument that offers reliable, consistent performance and good tone, enhancing the learning process for the student. Each cello is carved from tonewoods with inlaid purfling good quality pau rosa pegs, composite tailpiece with integral adjusters for easy tuning. The outfits include reliable wood bows with natural horsehair. The cello is protected in a well-designed padded nylon cover with safety reflectors, bow and accessory pockets and back straps. This instrument is fully set up by myself and fitted with Prelude strings.

The Stentor Student II full size cello is the recommended student cello outfit. Carved from solid tonewoods with inlaid purfling and individually thicknessed for quality of sound and is fitted with a composite tailpiece with integral adjusters. The outfit includes a quality full mounted wood bow with natural horsehair. The cello is protected in a well-designed padded nylon cover with safety reflectors, bow and accessory pockets and back straps. This instrument is fully set up by myself and fitted with Prelude strings.
